As you might have heard, two BAC clinicians recently returned from continuing education courses 🧠💡 Occupational Therapist, Meg Shaffer, attended a multi-day course on executive functioning, self-regulation, and behavior in children & adolescents.
🧠💡 Meg says, “I have always known what executive functioning is and what activities will challenge these skills, but I never knew the impact of movement, music, and rhythm on our nervous systems and how I can utilize these concepts to help children improve their ability to inhibit impulses, problem-solve and learn from past experience.” 🧠💡 “Who would have thought that a ball and a beat could help improve how your brain handles life situations?!”
